Jumpstart Drone Making - The Basic Recipe
From the creators of the highly successful Introduction to Drones workshop, SiTF Academy, in collaboration with IDA Labs is proud to bring you this value-for-money workshop that shows you how to make drones. You will be given a step-by-step recipe where you can easily follow to build your first drone – a 450 mm quadcopter using the latest components available in the market.
Your will gain knowledge about the drone building process in this workshop as you get to touch, see and feel the various drone components. You will see how the various drone components are assembled into a drone. From the recipe, participants will learn what to look out for when selecting components for their drones. Within the recipe will be information on the variation in configuration for different components. The recipe will show you step-by-step configuration of the flight controller to get you ready for the first flight of your first DIY drone.
From the recipe, you will not just learn about the how-to, but also learn about the where-to get the parts to make your drones.
It is highly recommended that participants have some prior knowledge and/or experience about radio control flying.
If not, we highly recommend that you attend the Introduction to Drones course before coming for this workshop.
The workshop will be conducted from 9.30am - 12.30pm ,covering the following:

9. Lipo batteries, battery charger and balance charging

Mr. Wong Tack Wai
Tack Wai has been into aeromodelling for the last 3 decades. He has been to three Aeromodelling World Championships representing Singapore to compete in F2C Team Race. He has taught many international school students in Singapore to fly quad copters safely. Participants can look forward to an interesting and interactive session with him in this workshop.
