Led by Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), Team Singapore was represented by four organisations with five nominations. The other Singapore companies who took part at the awards include Hammer Studio, who was nominated for MUNZILI, a 3D Floor Planner, interior Design and redecoration app in the Start Up category; and FoodZaps Technology, who was took part in the Tourism and Hospitality category for FoodZaps, a Hybrid and do-it-yourself mobile point-of-sale (POS) for the F&B industry.
Awards A Good Benchmark and Partnership Platform for Singapore Companies
On winning the Gold award and joining the competition, MinerLabs Group Managing Director, Mr James Miner said: “Representing Team Singapore was an honour. The SITF team were amazingly supportive. We learned that the quality of entries across all APICTA categories was world class, and the results were incredibly close. We are proud to bring home a big win for Singapore!”.

Mr Roselan Araf, founder of Hammer Studio, said standing up against competition from countries in the region has given him a good benchmark of their capabilities to us and going to Dhaka, Bangladesh has shown him the new opportunities and possibilities that the country provides.

The APICTA Awards, an annual ICT competition now in its 17th year, is aimed at recognising innovative ICT products, solutions, services and applications developed from each participating economy. This year’s APICTA awards saw a total of 66 judges, drawn from government, academia and the industry, taking part as well as 173 nominations coming from 13 economies across the Asia Pacific. A total of 17 Gold winners and 49 Merit recipients were recognised for their submissions.
