Providing Liquidity to SMEs in The Isolation Economy

SGTech partnered with Mastercard and other partners to share how technology solutions can help businesses manage liquidity throughout this COVID-19 period. Digitisation helps to improve cash flow, streamline the payment process and manage business expenses more effectively.
The speakers featured include Mr Daniel Dua from Mastercard, Ms Linda Oh from UOB, Mr Soumen Sircar from SGeBiz and Mr Kelvin Lam from EZLink.

Key Takeaways from the Webinar

Mr Dua shared that COVID-19 has accelerated E-commerce growth and that businesses should adopt digitalisation to overcome challenges posed by COVID-19. He summarised the five key benefits of digitalisation: Cashflow, Sales, Business Processes, Savings and Payments.

Each partner also illustrated how their products could aid businesses in managing cash flows, payment processes and business expenses. For example, free credit terms can be accessed with or without the use of credit cards to improve the business’ cash flow.

Another analogy by Mr Soumen detailed the pain points in the payment processes for buyers as well as suppliers. The example also showcased how the SGeBiz platform can help to bridge the gaps.

Lastly, Mr Lam shared on the EZ-Link Prepaid Corporate programme, which can be adopted to manage expenses, reimbursement processes and even serve as gift cards.
