After engaging over 200 member companies through focus groups, interviews and polls, SGTech has put together a set of industry recommendations for Budget 2022.
The document, comprising over 20 recommendations and other suggestions, was submitted to the Ministry of Finance on 29 Oct 2021. Since then, we have started engaging other ministries, such as the Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of Trade and Industry, as well as the government agencies, to convey our recommendations for the tech industry and Singapore’s economy.
Our recommendations spanned topics including the tech talent shortage, digital transformation of Singapore companies, government ICT procurement, support for internationalisation, and others. We intend to share more details about the recommendations in the coming months as we continue our engagement and advocacy; please keep a look out for the information when it comes.
The set of recommendations would not have been possible without the insights from our members. We are grateful for our member representatives for generously giving their time and contributing their inputs for this solid set of recommendations. There will be more opportunities to give your ideas on a broad range of topics that impact the industry. We are counting on your continued support.
