Jumpstart Ignite: Managing Marketing Strategies for Outreach

On 12 July, in conjunction with the
SG:D Techblazer Awards
nomination briefing at our office, SGTech held a JumpStart Ignite marketing seminar for our startup community and other friends located at one-north Launchpad. The seminar aimed to impart marketing tips and pointers from the marketing experts among SGTech members -
, so that the participants could better flesh out their marketing plans as part of their nomination submission for the Techblazer Awards.
Mr Anand Peter
, Director of adpr started the session by speaking on the importance of branding & communication for startups especially during the early stages, elaborating on the process of starting on branding and communications for a new company. He described the thinking process of branding through a narrative and supplemented his points with examples from his experience.
Ms Rosemary Lising
, Co-Founder & Senior Consultant of MinerLabs, focussed on 5 digital marketing tips to grow online businesses. They are:
Mr Adrian Liew,
CEO of BEKNOWN, went further on data analytics on marketing. He expounded on the 4P of marketing (Price, Product, Place, Promotion) and how a data-driven approach adds to the understanding of customers.
Finally, the speakers gathered for a panel discussion, moderated by
Mr James Miner
, CEO of MinerLabs, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of marketing for young companies, as well as answer questions from the audience.
The session ended with a networking session with light refreshments for the participants.
